Fishing is fantastic in Parry Sound
Depending on the time of year, Northern Pike, Smallmouth & Largemouth Bass, Muskie, Walleye/Pickerel and Lake Trout are available.
In order to fish in Ontario, everyone requires an Outdoors Card if they are at least 18 years old. Canadians over the age of 65 are exempt. If you are a non-resident, you require a separate fishing licence tag.
In Parry Sound, fishing can be as easy as walking across the street from 40 Bay Street Bed & Breakfast and throwing in your line at the mouth of the Seguin River.
However, there are also several fishing charter services available.
If you wish to fish on Georgian Bay, we recommend Parry Sound Water Taxi and Fishing Charter located by the Town Dock. For a flat fee, Curtis provides you with everything you need – all you are required to bring is your fishing licence and tag. He will take you out to his favourite fishing holes; provide lunch (hopefully the fish you caught earlier that day) and non-alcoholic beverages.
If you would prefer, take an inland lake charter with Paul’s Inland Lake Fishing Charters. Very protective of his lakes, Paul doesn’t say exactly where you are going until you actually book with him. Like most of the local charters, Paul’s price includes everything you need for a great fishing experience.
Georgian Bay Airways offers the ultimate fishing experience – fly into one of two remote lakes and fish to your heart’s content – boat, trolling motor and gas are included.
