Tuesdays are Terrific in Parry Sound

If you can only spend one day in Parry Sound in the summer, then I suggest picking a Tuesday.

From 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., there is something special going on, on Tuesdays.cruze night

You can start your day at the Parry Sound Summer Market, visiting the stalls of handcrafted items from a multitude of artisans, fresh produce and smoked meats, maple syrup and honey, plus baking, plants and homemade clothing. The market runs from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in Market Park Square, just behind the post office.

During the day-time, White Squall Paddling Centre brings “Blackfly II” to town – a 29 foot canoe that seats 20 people and allows you to paddle the harbor for an hour. You can pick it up at the Georgian Bay Airway dock. (If you can’t make it, they are offering an opportunity for a private day on the bay and a young persons’ Big Canoe Camp. Check out their web site for more information.)

Up next? Every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. it’s Cruze Night in Parry Sound! You’ll see vintage cars, muscle cars, sports bikes and their owners all gathered at the Island Queen Boat Cruise parking lot. Most of the cars are local; however sometimes other car clubs from the area join in, so there is always something new to see and learn about!
